Fawn
It was a beautiful day. The sun was bright, the birds harassed people for their crumbs, and children played on the playground. Willy had set up near the fountain, guitar case laying open. And he had his guitar.
He didn't need the money but he'd found if he didn't put his case down people looked at hi a bit odd. He cared not for the money, though it was nice to have.
He spied Fawn and smiled as he finished off his tune with a flourish. A few people gave him some coins and he nodded his gratitude.
"Fawn," he called as he took a seat on the edge of the fountain. He beckoned him closer while he took his bottle of water and uncapped it.

"Well met," the younger fae said, bowing his head slightly in respect. Though it was an awkward action. Clearly something the wild creature didn't do often.

Willy smiled warmly.
"How have you been? You've not been around," he said. It was just something to note, an opening to hear about Fawn's days.
no subject
"I have been building a house," Fawn said proudly.
no subject
"Have you?" Willy smiled. "A fine endeavour. I built mine so long ago, the city has grown around it. Is it comfortable?"
no subject
"I like it very much," Fawn smiled. "It is in a park, hidden from the gaze of mortals."
no subject
Willy gave a smile and nodded.
"I would very much like to see your creation," he said.
no subject
"I can show you now, if you like!" Fawn offered excitedly.
no subject
"A fine idea," the prince nodded and moved to collect his case and tuck his guitar away.
"Is it far?" Willy asked, thinking he might like a frozen treat if they were going to trek across the city.
no subject
"It is on the other side of the park, where the trees are thicker and denser," Fawn said.
no subject
"Enough time for ie cream," he smiled. "Let's pass that cart and we'll have a treat as we walk."
He was set on the idea and his feet took him straight to a vendor, where he used his fresh coins to buy one for each of them.
"And what do you do now that it's built?" he asked as they started for the quieter area of the park.
no subject
"I wander, mostly. Sometimes too far. A mortal attacked me, you know. Stabbed me," the fae explained. "I no longer wander that way so much."
no subject
"Stabbed? That's dangerous. A keen blade can do a lot of damage, especially if your magic cowers and hides. But you're well, which is good," he said. "Have you blighted the man yet? I'd enjoy helping."
no subject
"He died. His heart was weak," Fawn explained.
no subject
Willy smiled and clapped him on the shoulder.
"Well done," he praised. "Is it the first time you've been stabbed?"
no subject
"I am not pleased he is dead. That was not my intent. I only wished he would stop," Fawn insisted softly.
no subject
"You survived. Find joy in that," he replied. "And you've learned to be cautious, yes?"
no subject
"...Yes," Fawn replied, even though he wasn't sure that was true.
no subject
"Good, then," he smiled. "How do you enjoy a home? The trooping shy from such things. Does it please you?"
no subject
"Yes. I come home, and I have a warm bed, and no rain falls on me unless I wish it to. And we have a fridge!" he added excitedly.
no subject
The prince laughed warmly.
"All very good things. The mortal world has some wonderful things. I remember a time before refrigerators and they are delightful," he said as they entered the area of the park with thicker trees.
no subject
Fawn waved his hand, revealing the cottage and looking just a bit proud of himself.
no subject
"Ah! This is charming!" Willy said brightly. He turned a proud smile on the small fae. "You've done a nice job. Show me the inside, if you please."
no subject
Fawn looked pleased and headed inside, gesturing for Will to follow.
"See? It is a good home."
no subject
Willy carefully put his guitar by the door and then surveyed the home. It was quite nice. He took in the details and wandered to snoop, winding up at the refrigerator with the door open.
"And you have plenty of food. Have you domesticated yourself, little one?" he smiled.
no subject
"No! I am wild and free still," Fawn insisted. "...I just like coffee, and turkey twizzlers."
