It was a beautiful day. The sun was bright, the birds harassed people for their crumbs, and children played on the playground. Willy had set up near the fountain, guitar case laying open. And he had his guitar.

He didn't need the money but he'd found if he didn't put his case down people looked at hi a bit odd. He cared not for the money, though it was nice to have.

He spied Fawn and smiled as he finished off his tune with a flourish. A few people gave him some coins and he nodded his gratitude.

"Fawn," he called as he took a seat on the edge of the fountain. He beckoned him closer while he took his bottle of water and uncapped it.

Willy looked at John with a smug smile and purposely held on a little tighter.

"Welcome home, John Constantine," he said.

"What in the hell are you doing here?" John asked...as if it wasn't obvious.

"I wanted to show fae Willy what I made," Fawn beamed. "Now we are cuddling."

[willysilver]

"I see that," John said, hanging his coat and then glowering at Willy.

"Fawn has chosen me to be his playmate," Willy said, insinuating much more than there really was between them.

[fawnthefae]

"Yes, Willy is safe, our magic can play," Fawn beamed, letting his magic manifest as a flower blooming in his palm.

"Am I, erm, interrupting?" John asked awkwardly.

"Yes," Willy replied in the most challenging possible way.

[fawnthefae]

"No," Fawn said at the same time. "I asked Willy to stay while we speak. He is wise, and I don't always explain things well."

[willysilver]

"While we...speak," he repeated. "All...right. What are we talking about?"

Willy smirked at him.

"Your love is going to kill him. Free him," Willy said.

John hadn't been expecting that. He was utterly gobsmacked.

"Fae Willy says I will wilt, and if I wilt, I can not be with you. ...So what if I had Willy to share my love with, and you had someone too?" Fawn suggested nervously.

[willysilver]

John had almost been on board with the idea of Fawn having other lovers. But Willy? Willy?

"You and him," he said, letting that idea crush him mercilessly. "Yeah. I mean, erm...him?"

[fawnthefae]

"He is kin," Fawn said softly, worried now that John might be upset with him. "Kin is important."

[willysilver]

"I'm sure John realizes he'll never be able to give you what another fae can," Willy said smoothly, staring John down.

John didn't like Willy. Didn't trust him. And yet, he was smart enough to be wary. In the center of his cold, black heart, John was a coward. He wasn't going to pick this fight.

"Is that what you want?" he asked Fawn.

Fawn was quiet for a long moment.

"I love you, and I want to be with you. I wish to explore life with you for as long as we are able. ...To do that, I must not fade away. I trust Willy to be kind to me. To let me play with my magic. Willy's company will keep me strong."

John hesitated briefly, then hedged-

"So this is who you want to share? Just to be clear..."

Willy's nose wrinkled in disgust.

"I have no interest in you, warlock. Find someone else," the prince said, subtly holding Fawn a little tighter.

[fawnthefae]

"You are being rude," Fawn told Willy, before looking over at John. "If sharing does not please you, perhaps you would take on a lover of your own," he suggested softly.

[willysilver]

John was quiet for a moment, looking at Fawn's earnest eyes. He didn't like it...but he knew it was right. Fawn would fade. Eventually.

'Alright," he finally agreed.

Fawn bounced up off the sofa and over to John, slinging his arms around him and kissing him deeply, his magic sparking brightly all around them.

"John is kind to me," he exclaimed.

[willysilver]

John held him in return and buried his face in the curve of his neck.

Why did it have to be Willy? Of everyone he could have possibly picked, why that toser?

"I love you," he murmured into Fawn's ear. "I love you so much."

[fawnthefae]

"I love you too," Fawn said softly, nuzzling John in return. "So much. ...So very much."

[willysilver]

John held him another long moment.

"I'll go get a pint. Text me when to come home," he said. Or should I get a hotel?"

god, the thought of the fae with Willy fucking Silver made him anxious...but Fawn had made his choice and seemed so happy.

[fawnthefae]

"No, don't leave," Fawn insisted. "Fae Willy and I will meet another day, yes?" he said, looking back at Willy.

[willysilver]

"I will be here for you whenever you call for me, dove," Willy said, rising slow and graceful as smoke. He walked at the pair and dodged at the last moment to collect his things.

John watched him, not trusting the fae for a moment.

"Ta, mate," John said as willy winked at Fawn, then left the pair alone.

Fawn purred a little at the flirty wink, his cheeks a little pink.

Though once Will was gone, John had his full attention once again.

"You are not cross?"

No, love. I'm not cross," he said. "We both knew you needed this. It's nice to play house, but I don't want to lose you completely. I just...Willy? Are you certain?"

"He has been warm to me, and our magic plays well," Fawn said. "He will be a good playmate."
