Willy had survived the chaos, delighting in the gay bit of magic. He was sitting on the deck in the sun, strumming his instrument and making up a silly little tune about some of the hijinks he had watched.

He was stuck, though, and played the same three chords over and over. Over and over, as if the rhythm of the strings might drag an idea out of him.

"Hey nonny nonny always fits," he considered aloud.

Willy happily played on, so long as Nyx enjoyed it. When he let the magic ebb and the song fade away, he finished with a smile.

"You seem at peace, my friend," he noted.

"That's the closest I've felt to home since I was taken," Nyx confessed.

He was quiet for a moment, looking a bit upset- Then smiled sadly as he gave Will's knee a squeeze.

"Do you like the ship?" he asked after a moment.

"It is a ship," Willy shrugged. "It is better than where I was, and will be worse than where I am going."

He laid his hand over the strings to still them.

"Where are we going?"

"I'm never privy to these things. South, I think? That's best I can tell," Nyx admitted. "They don't treat me like a guest, they treat me like cattle."

"Few notice me at all," he replied. "Mortals mostly ignore my glamour, which suits me fine."

"I notice you," Nyx said softly. "Everytime I see you, it's like a glimpse of a life I miss."

He did something then he'd never do with a human, he leaned over and rested his head on the other fae's shoulder.

"You miss court?" he asked kindly, leaning into him for just a bit more contact.

"I could never stand it..." he confessed quietly.

"I miss slipping off to the gardens to paint. I miss the dinners, I miss meeting people, finding lovers," Nyx sighed. "I miss the smell of flowers, the warmth of the sun, my perfect, lush bed..."

"Ahhh," Willy smiled, looking off to some middle distance as he let himself recall home. "I miss my bed as well. None has ever been as fine."

"I have improved mine here some. It isn't the same though. Not enough pillows, not enough feathers..." Nyx sighed.

Willy nodded toward Nyx's wrist.

"That hinders you," he said, a question the prince didn't need to answer. "Perhaps I could assist?"

Few knew the dangers of such an offer.

"What would it cost me?" Nyx asked, not saying no, but wanting an idea of what he was getting into.

"Company," Willy answered easily. "Perhaps you and the wildling and the pixie would join me. Kersen is fine, but a vampire. He is farther from home, hmm? It has been so long since I've been near kin of any kind..."

Winter would be easy to convince, but Fox might prove a challenge. Nyx was certain he could be convinced though.

"Alright," he agreed simply. "Should be simple enough."

"Very good. Show me your room and I shall make improvements," he smiled, finally rising.

Nyx hesitated, but... Hex probably wasn't there.

"Alright," he agreed, gesturing for Will to follow him down to his quarters.

Willy towered over the fae prince, and yet, when they went below deck, he never had to duck. He followed him to his room and smiled when the door opened.

"Ah, there is much to work with," he said appreciatively.

"I made a start at least," Nyx shrugged. "It's still far from what I like though. There's not nearly enough velvet for a start."

"Explain to me your vision," Willy invited, closing the door and then begining to weave a spell to shift and shape the room to Nyx's desire.

Everything Nyx described, Willy formed for the prince, beginning with velvet. The color changed as Nyx pleased, and with every new idea, magic filled the room.

Just the magic was enough to warm him. Nyx didn't want much though. Thicker pillows, green velvet, and an easel. The easel was terribly important. Paints and brushes he could sort out himself.

"It's lovely," he said softly.

Willy smiled with pride.

"As you like," he said warmly, adding a vase of fresh flowers from the Daoine lands that filled the room with a fresh, dreamy scent.

"It's beautiful," Nyx nodded, offering a gesture that was as close to thanks as he would dare tred.

"I will arrange a gathering soon. Dinner, perhaps?"

"Delightful," the fae smiled, pleased with his own work as he looked at the room.

"This makes the rest of the ship seem drab. Perhaps the whim to improve it will strike me," he said thoughtfully. "I could make the entire place more tolerable."
