Willy had survived the chaos, delighting in the gay bit of magic. He was sitting on the deck in the sun, strumming his instrument and making up a silly little tune about some of the hijinks he had watched.
He was stuck, though, and played the same three chords over and over. Over and over, as if the rhythm of the strings might drag an idea out of him.
"Hey nonny nonny always fits," he considered aloud.

"Ah, there is much to work with," he said appreciatively.

Everything Nyx described, Willy formed for the prince, beginning with velvet. The color changed as Nyx pleased, and with every new idea, magic filled the room.

"It's lovely," he said softly.

"As you like," he said warmly, adding a vase of fresh flowers from the Daoine lands that filled the room with a fresh, dreamy scent.

"I will arrange a gathering soon. Dinner, perhaps?"

Date: 2024-01-13 06:01 pm (UTC)"Delightful," the fae smiled, pleased with his own work as he looked at the room.
"This makes the rest of the ship seem drab. Perhaps the whim to improve it will strike me," he said thoughtfully. "I could make the entire place more tolerable."

Date: 2024-01-13 06:12 pm (UTC)"You can't change the whole ship, Bond will have a fit. Could change some rooms though. Yours, certainly," Nyx noted.

Date: 2024-01-13 06:23 pm (UTC)"I'm not ready to start a fight with him, Will," Nyx pleaded quietly.

Date: 2024-01-13 06:51 pm (UTC)"What fight? What man would not be eternally grateful for improvements without debt? He'd be foolish to ask to repay what I might choose to do for my own delight," he replied, the threat so very clear.
Bond could shut up and accept Willy's grace. Or he'd pay.

Date: 2024-01-13 07:07 pm (UTC)"And my retribution will be fierce. I'm certain any of these men could sail this ship to harbor without him," Willy said.
"Fear not, my friend," he smiled then. "I believe the captain is smart enough to know when he will lose."

Date: 2024-01-13 07:14 pm (UTC)Nyx still looked unsure, but nodded. He had no reason not to trust Willy after all.
Sitting on the bed, he ran his fingers over the rich velvet. "Stay with me a while?" he asked. He got so lonely anytime he was left alone- And he had a feeling Will was feeling the same way. If they could do nothing more right now, at least they could keep one another company.

Another wave of his hand and there was a table with a lovely tea. Fine porcelain pot and cups, little sandwiches, sweet and savoury nibbles, and sugary treats- impossible in the world of men.
"Enjoy. I shall play more," he told him, finding a seat and making himself comfortable.

Date: 2024-01-13 07:32 pm (UTC)Nyx sipped his tea and listened, but eventually spoke again.
"Have you made many friends here?" he asked.

Date: 2024-01-13 07:37 pm (UTC)"The vampire, Kersen," he said. "He bargained my passage and I owe him for that. I have also spoken to a warlock who comes out at night. All others, I simply watch."
no subject
Date: 2024-01-13 07:41 pm (UTC)"The vampire?" Nyx replied, looking surprised. "Brave soul you are. ...John is nice though, the warlock. I like him."
no subject
Date: 2024-01-13 07:48 pm (UTC)"There is another vampire aboard that is far more of a threat than the one who brought me," Willy chuckled. "And, yes, I agree. He is kind. Pity he is damned."
He paused playing to call a cup of tea to him, and a scone. They floated through the air and settled in his hands.
"Is there anyone else worth meeting other than kin?"

Date: 2024-01-13 07:51 pm (UTC)"The doctor is kind. House. He cut me down from the mast when I was in iron. Tended to me," Nyx nodded.

Date: 2024-01-13 07:59 pm (UTC)"I will allow him to see me," he decided then. "The voyage, so far, since you asked, has been lonely and dull...in truth."
no subject
Date: 2024-01-13 08:47 pm (UTC)"I feel much the same. You'd think having a keeper would at least make things interesting, but sometimes I feel like he avoids me," Nyx admitted. "Maybe that's best."

Date: 2024-01-13 08:50 pm (UTC)Willy's eyes narrowed in curiosity.
"Surely he at least satisfies you," he said incredulously.

Date: 2024-01-13 08:51 pm (UTC)"He's terrified," Nyx replied bluntly. "Barely knows what to do with me."

Date: 2024-01-14 06:44 am (UTC)"It won't be long until you take ill," he replied. "Him, too. A foolish choice, and cowardly. The captain should have Bound you as his. Mortals weren't graced with brains, though."
