Willy was conflicted and had sat with it for a few days now. Having his heart back had been phenomenal, but the longer he had it, the more used to it he got, he found there were some feelings he didn't know how to navigate. In truth, he'd never felt like this even before he'd given it away to Charlotte.
Guilt.
What was a fae supposed to do with guilt?
Ultimately, he decided he needed a hint of what he should do. In the past Fin had been quite direct and clear and he appreciated that.
I need you. Tell me where to meet you
He sent the text off and then stewed about it. He wasn't going to work this out on his own.

Date: 2020-11-15 01:55 am (UTC)"I'd like to think we are," he replied. "There aren't many of any kind who feel the way you do. Perhaps it's our bond," he shrugged. He knew how it felt; he didn't think too hard about it.

Date: 2020-11-15 02:03 am (UTC)"Maybe," Fin agreed. "What do you think it means? Our bond, I mean."

Date: 2020-11-15 02:08 am (UTC)"I have no idea. Whatever started it has been lost," he said with a shrug. "The details don't bother me. I'm alright simply knowing we share it."
That hadn't been the case. For a moment he'd been angry. But now he didn't feel trapped and it had changed his whole perspective.

Date: 2020-11-15 03:02 am (UTC)"I just wish I knew what it means," Fin admitted, quiet for a beat, then moving to sit beside the other fae.

Date: 2020-11-15 03:20 am (UTC)Willy moved a little to accommodate him, going as far as stretching out a welcoming arm.
"Why?" Willy asked. "Is it so important for you to know?"

Date: 2020-11-15 03:29 am (UTC)"It's just a strange thing to carry with you without understanding, don't you think?" Fin shrugged, settling in close.

Date: 2020-11-15 03:42 am (UTC)"I agree it is. I simply think it's probably been a very long time and I have little interest in chasing riddles I can't solve," he replied as he curled his arm round and held him close.

Date: 2020-11-15 03:45 am (UTC)"I guess," Fin agreed, leaning into him more. "I suppose there's beauty in a good mystery."

Date: 2020-11-15 03:51 am (UTC)"It's probably something quite epic to keep bringing us together," he said thoughtfully.

Date: 2020-11-15 09:28 pm (UTC)"Do you think? I hope it doesn't mean we'll end up on some long , dangerous quest. I could live without that, to be honest," Fin said with a lazy yawn.

Date: 2020-11-16 12:25 am (UTC)"That sounds like work," he agreed. "If we need to, let's just say no."

Date: 2020-11-16 12:30 am (UTC)"Deal," Fin agreed with a chuckle.

Date: 2020-11-16 12:36 am (UTC)Willy smiled and settled into the cushions a bit deeper and pulled at Fin to keep him close.
"Can you stay? Or must you go?" he asked as his eyes slipped shut.

Date: 2020-11-16 01:06 am (UTC)"I can stay," Fin purred, slipping an arm around him.

Date: 2020-11-16 01:32 am (UTC)His other hand lifted and fell on Fin's waist. The weight of him and rhythm of his breathing reminded him of home. Of lazy piles of brothers and sisters, tired from play. Of slow music, and warm hearths.
He drifted off and abruptly snorted himself awake.
"Sorry..."

Date: 2020-11-16 02:09 am (UTC)"It's alright- This is nice, go to sleep, Will. Rest," Fin said gently. "Sometimes just being close to someone can be pure bliss."

Date: 2020-11-16 02:14 am (UTC)"It is...very nice to have you here. Would you be more comfortable in the bed?" Willy offered.
no subject
Date: 2020-11-16 02:19 am (UTC)"I'm not fussy, but I wouldn't say no to bed," Fin admitted, sitting up and fixing his hair a little. "Let me just send Hex a text in case I nap longer than I mean to."
no subject
Date: 2020-11-16 02:26 am (UTC)Willy nodded and rose, peeling off his clothes and lazily dropping them in a trail to the bed. When he slept, he slept deeply. If that happened, as it did more and more frequently, he wanted to be comfortable.

Date: 2020-11-16 02:30 am (UTC)Fin raised a brow, admiring him, then pulled out his phone to send Hex a text.
At Will's, we're going to take a nap. Not a euphemism, we're going to nap. Not sure when I'll be home. Love you. xox

Date: 2020-11-16 02:36 am (UTC)Willy crawled under the weighty blankets and quilts and settled into a plush pillow. He moved enough to offer Fin room. He truly did look drowsy. Now that he'd played, that he'd gotten those songs out, he was weary.

Date: 2020-11-16 02:46 am (UTC)Fin stripped to his underclothes, then slipped into bed with Will.
There was something different about sleeping beside another fae, and he squirmed closer to be half atop Will.

Date: 2020-11-16 02:54 am (UTC)Willy held him close and closed his eyes. The warmth of him, the weight...more than anything, his scent...Willy was overcome with peace.
A frighteningly feline purr began to rumble in his chest.
