The party had been lovely. Quite novel with the all black decor and fashions and food. He had stayed with Curnen until she had had her fill and then he tok her home to see her safe. But as soon as that duty was done he pointed his bike for home.

Up the lift, but left instead of right. Not to his flat but to Fin's.

He knocked softly, in case Fin was asleep. He listened, then knocked again.

"Fin, are you home?" he said to the closed door.

Fin had waited up, just as he'd promised, curled up on the sofa with a book.

"It's open," he called out, knowing it could only be Will, and trying to ignore the nervous flutter in his stomach.

Willy entered, still dressed in his black on black brocade finery from the party. He looked regal. He looked like a prince should.

"I have come as you suggested," he said. "Are you more sober now?"

Fin had been smiling, but it faded at that.

"Yes, my sobriety was definitely the issue tonight," he replied flatly. "You know what Will... Never mind. Maybe we're not ready to have this talk."

"I think it is high time we had this talk, but I wanted to speak to you with a clear head," he said, brushing off the barb to come inside and make for the kitchen. "Do you have juice?"

Fin sighed, then shrugged. "I don't know, maybe. I haven't been grocery shopping in a bit," he admitted.

Willy went in to look and ultimately returned with a bottle f water.

"Did you enjoy your night?" he asked.

Fin looked at the book he'd left on the sofa, then shrugged again. He'd changed out if the all black suit he'd been wearing, and was looking a bit scruffy in an old t-shirt and sweats. There hadn't been any reason to remain dolled up.

"My book was fine company."

"I had as grand a time as I could manage. Curnen thought the whole affair was strange and was glad to leave," he replied, slowly easing closer.

"Strange? I thought it looked fun," Fin frowned, clearly sulking just a bit over having missed out still.

[willysilver]

"She is of a different place and time. Backward, a bit. In West Virginia we called them hillbillies," Willy said affectionately. "I would like very much if we could all be friends. Other than you, she is all I have."

"I consider Curnen a good friend already- Something you'd have known if we were spending more time together," Fin pointed out.

[willysilver]

"I would like very much to spend more time with you, Fin. But there is a vast distance between us and I do not know how to bridge it," Willy replied quietly.

Fin nearly snapped out something along the lines of 'that's what happens when you give someone away', but he bit his tongue, aware that anger like that would get them nowhere.

"I know. ...I know, but- I never see you, you're never about."

[willysilver]

"I was told to get out in the world. To not wallow and fade. And so I have been," Willy said. "As much as I would like to be home with you...you too are out quite often," he pinted out.

[prince_of_nymphs]

Fin nodded, then wet his lips.

"So perhaps it's time I come home. If I'm home, we've no excuse not to talk, at the very least once a day."

[willysilver]

Hope swelled within him but he could hardly believe what he was hearing.

"You would come home? To live with me and share our bed again?" he asked, moving closer to Fin.

"Yeah. ...I mean, just on a trial bases. Let's give it to the end of the year, then we'll sit and have a long talk and see what we both want to do next," Fin said softly.

[willysilver]

"Fin...you have made me so happy," Willy exhaled softly as his smile grew and grew. He reached for Fin's hands and held them gently. "Yes. Please. Come home to me."

Fin smiled softly, nodding a little, then wetting his lips.

"Do you want me to come home tonight or- Did you have other plans?" he asked quietly.

[willysilver]

"Yes! Tonight!" Willy beamed. "I have no plans but telly."

"Do you want to help me move a few things back in then? My laptop and clothes, maybe? ...Though now that Winter and Phouka are gone, we could make this an extension of our flat. An office for me, a studio for you..."

[willysilver]

"We could take the whole floor and have a grand American style flat," he smiled. "Yes...I like that idea."

[prince_of_nymphs]

"I like it too," Fin smiled. "You could have a full recording studio, if you wanted. We could work on the songs we were writing and even record them."

[willysilver]

"You are looking to the future. This gives me hope," he said, easing closer to take Fin's hands. "Thank you."

"We still have a lot of work to do," Fin warned gently, letting Will take his hands. "Both of us."
