The night was young and the bar had been packed. Willy had not played, he'd only been there with Fin to enjoy the band. But the crowd was thick and Willy was a bit tipsy on white Russians and he dragged Fin out of the bar and into the night.

"Mmm, my love, what do you wish?" he asked, Fin's hands in his own. He pulled him close and kissed him, lips then brow. "I will give you your grandest desire, you need but ask."

Hardly a new offer- they both knew Fin's flights of fancy were Willy's pleasure to fulfil.

Fin laughed softly, holding on tight to make sure he didn't fall.

"I've got everything I want, Willy," he assured the fae. "Everything that can be given, at least."

He could see shadows dancing in front of his eyes, but he longed to see more. ...To see Willy's smile.

He couldn't see it, but he could feel the sensual curve of the fae's mouth as Willy leaned in to kiss him again.

"You could have fortunes. Palaces. Servants. You could have riches beyond measure and happiness, too. And yet all you ask of me is my heart and that I would give you without hesitation," he said, pulling Fin in close. "Come...we must go somewhere. Do something. Something to make you smile, my love."

"Where would you like to go then?" Fin asked. "Going to show me wonders I can't see?" he asked with a soft laugh.

"Actually, that's something we need to talk about. You know I'm having my operation next week, don't you? They're going to see if they can salvage some of my sight. ...Will you come?"

The thought of being in the hospital, even to wait, filled Willy with dread. The antiseptics, the machines, the technology, it all was like prickles on his skin. But he would endure everything the world could put him through for Fin.

"Of course I will be there," he said. "I will fret the entire time. Do you think science can repair what I cannot?"

"Not completely. They think my left eye might be repairable though, to an extent. I'll be able to see a bit out of it. Enough to see colours and basic shapes... Maybe even enough to read very large fonts. Maybe," Fin replied, wanting Willy to understand that it wouldn't be some wonder operation.

Willy caught Fin's face in both hands and held him quietly for a moment.

"Then I will bestow upon your surgeon the best of luck so that he will have the most success he has ever had," Willy said. He would do anything he could to help Fin. Anything.

Fin smiled at that, nodding and leaning in to kiss Willy gently. "Thank you," he said softly.

Willy kissed him delicately, nipping at his lips.

"Shh, now," he said softly. "Come...where now? Ice cream? Home? The singing grove in my realm?"

"I'd like to see your room- Your room back home, I mean. Though I suppose that's not possible- What with your mother and all," Fin said softly.

"We could slip in," Willy said slyly, hands roaming Fin's sides. "Would you like to, really? We can find a doorway easily."

"Yeah," Fin nodded. "I know you'll have to describe it to me, and we could do that well enough anywhere... But I'd like to be there. To touch things that mattered in your youth."

"Then we will go. Come..." he said, slipping his hand into Fin's to take him away. This part of the city was terminally new. They needed to find and older doorway, a much older one, to take them to the palace.

Fin was so accustom now to being led everywhere, that he didn't hesitate to be guided along. Willy would lead the way, keeping his bath clear as they moved through the city.

"You don't talk about home much," he noted.

"Finlay, I do not think you understand just how many years I have lived in the mortal world," he said. "When the Romans came to Londinium I already lived among the Picts. When they built the great wall I watched their folly. I moved through the continent fleeing the arms of the church. I went to America when it was little more than a tobacco garden planted among the natives' crops. Hundreds of years. Thousands, my friend. What I recall of home is so very distant," Willy explained.

"God- You are... You are so bloody old," Fin said, looking both sheepish, and stunned. "I must look so small to you. Practically a bloody newborn."

[willysilver]

"Every year spring brings new life and in the course of a season things live and die. Fruits ripen and are harvested. You have years, Fin. A mortal lifetime- and more than that now since I tampered with your heart. You are hardly a newborn, but I do love what a breath of fresh air you are," Willy replied warmly.

"You talk utter nonsense, Willy Silver," Fin teased gently.

"Surely I do not," Willy chuckled. "And even if it is so, you are charmed by it, do not deny it," he said,

"I'm charmed by you, Willy. Everything you have to offer," Fin replied softly.

[willysilver]

"To say such a thing is the sweetest compliment...and it is sure true in reverse. You have charmed me, Fin. You have enchanted me and I am so dreadfully in love with you," he said as he glided against the young man and pushed him up against a wall so he could kiss him briefly.

Fin couldn't see it coming, and let out a startled noise as he hit the wall.

"Oi! Warn me before you do that," he laughed softly.

Willy pressed him into place with the solid weight of his body. Hands skimmed his sides and Willy brushed his lips along the man's jaw.

"Did I startle you, precious? A thousand apologies..."

"I can't see you coming is all," Fin laughed softly.

[willysilver]

"Should I make a noise? A shhh..." he said, the sound getting louder as he got closer and kissed Fin soundly.

"Or a zzz..." he whispered, his hands coming up to touch his face.

Fin giggled, playfully pushing Willy back with a smile. "Wanker," he accused gently.
