Willy was waiting for Fin when the young man got home from the day's work. He hadn't gone inside, choosing instead to linger by the doorway, bundled up a bit. The scarf round his neck hardly canceled out the tears in the knees of his jeans, but that was no matter to him.

The fae had let some time pass and he had even sought the coucil of Brown Meg who was terribly wise, understanding mortals more than most, Willy believed. He had come to the realization that although he'd had the best intentions he had broken Fin's trust. After some time of waiting for the little mortal to come back to him, Willy had gone to seek him out. And so he stood in the cold, not about to violate Fin's trust again by letting himself inside the flat.

He lit up when he saw Fin and produced a white rose, a single one that was only beginning to open.

"Finlay, will you speak to me tonight?" he asked hopefully.

Fin had been out drinking with the lads, and he looked a bit tipsy as he approached. He didn't take the rose, instead eyeing it with distrust before glancing at Willy.

"Why? You got some other bits of mine you want to swap out?" he asked as he moved to unlock his front door.

"Oh, Fin," Willy sighed, looking utterly remorseful. "Please don't say such things. I will apologize for breaking your trust."

But not for doing it. To his mind it was something Fin should have been expecting since Willy had promised him he'd find a way.

Fin rolled his eyes, but when he opened the door he held it open to let Willy in.

"So what happened to it?" he asked once they were inside. "My heart, I mean. Where is it? Who has it?"

"I have it," he replied. "You may have it if you like...I placed it in an enchanted box and have it at my cottage."

To him that wasn't odd at all. Of course he would protect the one thing that could make Fin vulnerable. He wasn't about to destroy it. That was beyond reason.

"What? No, I don't- I don't want it. I just... It's weird, yeah? My heart is in a box now. That's weird. It's scary," Fin said awkwardly, reaching for his cigarettes as he spoke.

"Your heart is beating in your chest," Willy corrected. "Your illness is now mine to see to. Are you not happy at all, my dear? Do you not feel better? You look better."

"I feel good, I wont pretend I don't. I feel alive... Just. ...God, Willy, you took my bloody heart out of my chest. That's terrifying! You're terrifying," Fin said quietly.

"I do not want you to be frightened of me," Willy said, taking hold of Fin and looking into his eyes. There was pain in his own, pain and worry. "My only intention was to heal you and make you whole. I promised and I keep my promises."

"I know- I know, Willy. I know that you meant well," Fin said softly. "Look, I'm not mad that you helped me. I'm just- I'm feeling a bit violated."

Brown Meg had explained to him such things and Willy did feel bad...which was a rather new feeling, to be sure. The fae did not feel regret or guilt so he found that his sympathetic response was completely new.

"Finlay Flynn, I truly apologize for violating your trust and your body. I will not ever do it again and now that I understand it was wrong I wish I could turn back time and undo what I have done. Will you accept my most sincere apology?" he asked and the power of a fae apology made the air shiver around them.

Fin felt it, and it sent a chill right down his spine.

"Yeah- Yeah, I forgive you," he said quietly. "Just... Don't do that again, alright? Please."

"Never again," he promised, then sealed the promise with a chaste kiss to Fin's forehead. He felt better- not forgiven, but at least pardoned for his transgression.

"What can I do for you? I should do something. A gift? Anything you desire, you have but to name it. Perhaps we could finish our date and have a real dessert course in my realm?"

Fin rubbed his face, then pushed his hair back.

"Let's just go for a walk, yeah? I feel like maybe we need to have a talk, and fresh air would do me some good right now," Fin confessed quietly.

"Of course," he said, smiling at Fin. But Willy knew the young mortal's habits and he cocked his head and looked at him curiously. "Do you want to get high before we go?"

"No, I think I'd like my wits about me," Fin admitted, scratching the back of his neck nervously as he spoke. "Let me get freshened up though, yeah? I'll not be a minute."

Willy smiled and nodded, infinitely pleased to hear that. He liked Fin better when he wasn't utterly gone...though part of him liked how sensual he was when he'd smoked a bit. He didn't mind the drink, but the pills and plants made a man that made Willy uncomfortable.

"I shall wait," he said, then went to the kitchen to steal a bit of honey.

Fin washed up and changed into something clean and comfortable. A soft grey hoodie and well worn jeans were his armour as he stepped back out into the living room and lit another smoke.

"So, where should we walk to?"

"We should walk north," Willy replied. "Other than that, I have no destination. We need not end up anywhere, yes?"

"No, mate- I meant are we staying in London, or... You know," Fin said, trailing off awkwardly.

"Or are we going to the fae realm?" he asked, then smiled. "I think that depends on if you will let me romance you and embarrass you. I can assure you it would be warmer there."

Fin hesitated a beat, then nodded once.

"Yeah, alright. I suppose it would be nice not to need my coat. It's bloody freezing tonight."

Willy nodded and turned, waving his hand over Fin's wall. The outline of a door appeared, glowed, then solidified into an actual doorway. Willy opened it and offered Fin the opportunity to go through first.

It was the same garden they'd been in before, only a different part of it. Here the door opened through a hedge to a pool where frogs croaked in the night. The moonlight was brilliant and the pond filled with lily pads was clear.

"We can walk the paths," he said.

Fin stepped through, looking around curiously and then up at the moonlight.

"It really is beautiful here, Willy. I still don't understand why you wouldn't want to live here."

"That is simple enough to answer, my friend. It is because nothing here changes. The mortal world is dynamic. In the Seelie lands it is ever spring or summer. It is, to me, dull beyond measure," he replied.
