It wasn't warm but it was pleasant. The wind was light and the air crisp. Willy needed nothing to guard against the weather but knew mortals would look at him strangely if he did not wear a jacket. So he wore his leather with the buckles and studs that he was so fond of. It was punk as punk could be and was a signature look for him. He wore a black Blue Oyster Cult t-shirt, black jeans, black belt- his uniform, practically. The only color was his white forelock and the silver triple moon earring he wore that was so shiny it glinted in the merry light.
The London Eye was a popular destination. The sun was only just beginning to set and people clammored to ride the wheel to see the sunset over the Thames. Willy played not far from the queue. Tonight it was his violin that filled the air with music.
So rock me mama like a wagon wheel
Rock me mama, any way you feel
Ooh, ooh mama rock me...
He sang the original, not the newer country version. Willy was quite partial to the Old Crow Medicine Show's repertoire.
He was to meet Winter soon and they would spend the night together. Willy had promised the little one dinner and was thinking Indian food would be a delicious treat. On an autum night like this perhaps a pumpkin curry. He kept his eyes out for the pixie, unsure if he would have taken his potion or not.

He felt giddy and wobbly, and he giggled a little as he leaned against the fae.

"What would you do now, my dear?" he asked warmly. "What mischief shall entertain us?"

Date: 2014-11-06 10:52 pm (UTC)"What a grand idea," Willy said. "Where shall we go? There is a park not far, or...well, anywhere. We could enchant anyone," he grinned.

It was, he thought, too cold for there to be many people in the park. But they passed a book shop that was having an open mic night and the fae dragged the pixie inside. A wave of his hand dimmed the lights and he smiled down at his companion.

Date: 2014-11-07 02:04 am (UTC)There was a small stage area and Willy took it, leaving Winter behind. Magic wafted off of him, making the air shiver.
"Tonight you are all my guests," he said, absolving the gathered mortals of any debt. Then Willy waved a hand. The crowd began to clap hands, snap fingers, stomp feet. They hummed and whistled and sang single notes.
And they began to dance. Willy's magic was immediate and powerful and he watched with a broad grin as the mortals became ecstatic.

Date: 2014-11-07 02:15 am (UTC)Soon he was dancing among the mortals, singing softly as he wove through the crowd. It reminded him of when he'd been young, how he and his family had danced and sang, enchanting the air all around them.

Date: 2014-11-07 02:32 am (UTC)Willy focused on the magic, making sure to infuse the crowd with enough to keep then delighted. He smiled as Winter danced as well and he purposefully gave the pixie some special attention, enchanting him as well. The potion stripped him of his own magic so Willy shared his own, infusing the pixie enough that he could dole out a bit of happiness as well.

Date: 2014-11-07 03:20 am (UTC)The mortals cavorted and needed little encouragement from Willy. The magic was heady and filled the room. Willy gladly took hold of Winter to dance with him, just off from the crowd.
"Does it make you happy, my friend?" he asked, his smile bright. "I do like how you light up."

Date: 2014-11-07 03:26 am (UTC)"We should go. If you change while on the bike I may lose you entirely," Willy said. "Or we could wait until you do and you could ride home in my pocket..."

Date: 2014-11-07 03:42 am (UTC)"Oh, how I wish I could be large always Willy," he sighed. "Wings, magic, and all... But I think it might be best if we wait until I'm small now. I will ride in your pocket."

Date: 2014-11-07 03:45 am (UTC)"Perhaps we will find a way. I am no wizard, but surely you must know something of potion brewing?" he asked, though he really wasn't sure. He just knew Winter had refused any deeper debt and Willy respected him and cared for him enough to not press the issue.

Date: 2014-11-07 03:57 am (UTC)"Winter, dear, I believe that might be the truth," Willy said. "He did not have your best interests at heart."
He said little on the matter, but he was aware of the way Winter shied away from touch. Willy could see clearly how he'd been abused and it made the fae sad for him. Such a lovely little creature, twisted and used by a vile, twisted wizard.

Date: 2014-11-07 04:10 am (UTC)Winter wilted at that, but nodded. He knew that was true- He simply didn't like to think about it. ...He didn't like to think of Aspid at all.
Quiet, he settled against Willy as they danced, embracing the fae he now felt was family. A brother he hadn't known he needed.

Date: 2014-11-07 04:13 am (UTC)Willy held him and swayed with the rhythm of the enchanted mortals. They continued to clap and sing and rejoice and Willy basked in it. And he waited for Winter to change. In truth it made little difference to him if the pixie was large or small. He cared for him all the same.

Date: 2014-11-07 04:21 am (UTC)He hated this part. He hated it more than anything.

Date: 2014-11-07 04:26 am (UTC)Willy caught him and held him, gentle and strong at the same time. His arms stayed around Winter even as he began to shrink, clothes and all. Only the shoes remained mortal-sized.
As Winter changed back to being pixie-sized Willy cast a glamour so that none of the mortals in the shop would notice them or pay them any mind. He did everything in his power to protect and care for his little ward.

Date: 2014-11-07 04:32 am (UTC)"Will you take me home, fae Willy?" he asked, sitting in the fae's palm as he spoke.

Date: 2014-11-07 04:37 am (UTC)"Of course, petal," Willy said warmly. He rose and kept Winter close and when he stepped outside he hid him inside his jacket. The cream had worn off and he was quite sober as he walked with lanky, long steps back to the bike.
"Will you be all right in my pocket?" he asked. "Close to my heart? It may be dark..."
