After chatting a bit with Shan, we came up with a plan to bring Spencer and Hotch back to LCRPG. However, we're requesting you all give us a clean slate. It's been a while since they were in game, and we think enough time has passed that they can have a fresh start here in London.

They're coming from much later in canon than last time (Reid's wiki is here for the curious), and Spencer is arriving first, though Hotch won't be far behind, I'm sure.

Thanks in advance!

London was a magic epicenter of sorts. Between doors to The Otherside, dormant and active portals, and an active wizarding community, it was a hub of energy, more so now than it had been for quite some time. The city was experiencing a magical renaissance of sorts- Which sounded lovely and made it a prime place to be for those exploring and studying magical energies, but wasn't so wonderful for London's more 'normal' sorts.

Magic didn't care if you were a dark lord or a banker, if it liked you, it liked you- And it was impossible to guess who it would like.

Today magic energy was at an all time high. Another blip in the usually somewhat steady stream of power that flowed through the streets. As a result, odd things were afoot- From mischievous inconveniences, to darker disruptions. Unlike the portals, these bothers were a touch more subtle, creeping up unseen on the unsuspecting.

Last time around the magic had seemed lighthearted and playful- And some of it still was, but... There was an intensity to some of it this time, harking back to the troubles that seemed to roll around every Halloween now. Something wicked was caught in the current, and while it wasn't out to harm everyone, it did seem keen to target a few.

(OTA. Just like the last time, the magic can affect your pup however you see fit. Unlike last time, however, some of the magic has taken a darker turn. It doesn't have to do something wicked to your pup, of course, but the option is there now. This post will be open from 7/18-7/28 or longer if needed. Tag in, tag others, and check back often.)

(No, it's not like the Monster Mash.)

* As of July 1, and the link drop just posted, Godric is living in London with Eric and is going to be a full-time character, instead of temp/as needed. He (and I) look forward to many many threads with you in the future. I'll try to give him an EP soon.

Note: Godric is not currently feeding, but at his age he can go a long time without. He does not have the suicidal inclinations at London Calling that he had in canon.

* Janette will be staying in London as an NPC, with the Hotel Lenore still available for light-tight accommodations and vampire neutral ground.

Taking Responsibility

When an incident occurred in the Dallas nest, resulting in the True Death for several vampires, and its Sheriff was an ocean away at the time, someone had to be held responsible. Where else would Godric go when he was no longer sheriff, except to Eric in London.

Spent most of the day with an old friend today. Parker Devon and I met on the set of Viewfinder, but he never returned for season two. He'd been offered a part on an American crime drama that would pay nearly twice as much- I can't blame him for taking it. Unfortunately the show hasn't been picked up for renewal, and we spent most of our evening at the bar discussing missed opportunities and parts we regret taking.

He asked if I was really walking away from my new gig at the BBC, and I told him I wasn't sure. Apparently they've put filming on hold in hopes I'll come back, that's what my management teams says. I don't know if I want to do that anymore though. The idea was pitched that I do a farewell episode before someone new takes over the part- That might be more suited to my wants. Though the more I spoke with Parker, the more I wondered if I wasn't making a mistake. There are only so many parts up for grabs, and millions of actors looking for a role. Perhaps I should stay, and just negotiate more time for theater work and serious roles. After all, it's not that I don't love the series, I just...

I want more. I want parts I can dig my teeth into. Time Strider is good fun and all, but sometimes I want more than fun. There's an audition in August for a mini series based on an updated version of Winter's Tale. ...I'm terribly keen. Now I know exactly when I need to be back in London. Just before August first.

Ms. Ethel Vitties (Vit to her friends) was not the sort of person who usually made it onto Q's radar. She had no government ties, the most sophisticated bit of tech in her flat was her sky box (which she only owned because of a need to watch her stories), and she barely knew how to use that. She was no spy, no hacker, and at 83 with a bad hip, she posed no physical threat. ...She was just nice. They'd spoken a few dozen times, and on one occasion when he'd had to go out of town at the last minute, had agreed to let Titania and Oberon stay in her flat. No questions asked, she had simply overheard him in the hall failing to get through to the usual cat sitter or Eve, and had offered to take them.

She'd refused payment of any sort when he'd returned, and the cats had taken an instant liking to her. ...So when Q had learned just how much she was getting charged for her simple cable box and the internet she almost never used, he'd taken matters into his own hands. He'd spent the morning on the roof, rewiring the various cables and making slight improvements. Now he was parked across the street in a small cafe, tapping into Sky's customer data base to make some even more adjustments- Starting with a refund of an obscene service charge.

He was sporting his usual frumpy boffin chic look, but it was obvious he'd been busy this morning by the state of his elbows and knees, the fabric darkened and dirtied by the tar on the roof. His hair was wilder and fluffier than ever, and he was frowning at his monitor as he combed through Vit's billing history. The company really was shameless, it seemed.

When someone approached the table, he simply assumed it was a server and he covered his cup with one hand. "Actually, I'd like to switch to coffee now, if that's alright," he said, not considering the cafe might be full and the person approaching might be searching for a seat- Or, you know, a friend looking to say hello.

I didn't get a cat. I thought about it, I did, but in the end common sense won out and I decided against it. My last pet wound up living with Winter and Phouka, it would be stupid to try again so soon.

I did, however, try and become a cat. Seren continued insisting via text that I'm capable, that I just need to focus more. She told me to find that seed of magic that helps me become a fox and use it to become something else. ...And of course, she was right. She's been studying and learning about magic so much longer than I have, she understands it in a way I don't yet. I'm learning, I am, but I've a long way to go still.

My cat form is a frail little thing, too thin with a slightly crooked tail. My fur is some sort of tabby mix, mostly gray with patches of ginger. ...I like it though. It'll be easier to blend in as a cat, and there's something soothing about the way I can slink about. I spent ages just climbing earlier. I scaled bookshelves, countertops... I even made it to the top of the curtain rail without shredding anything.

I wanted to though. I wanted to dig holes in the rugs and claw at the sofa. It took a lot of willpower to resist.

It's not quite as comforting as being the fox, but it's something. It's a real attempt at testing the abilities of my power. Seren, Will, even Winter- They all keep saying I'm powerful. Maybe I am, maybe they're right. Maybe I just need to keep flexing my abilities.

I want to call Pip and tell her what I've done, but I wont. If I call her, she'll come fetch me. I miss my friends, but I'm not ready yet. Maybe I'll send them postcards. ...Maybe.

I don't know.

Life without Seren is dark and grim, I didn't realize just how much colour she'd brought to my world before she was gone. I wish I'd asked her more. I wish I'd gone with her.

Instead I'm here. Alone.

Maybe it's time to go home? No. ...Not yet.

I'm not eating again, my appetite left with Seren, it seems. I'm not going to worry about that right now though. Right now I just need to continue on as best I can.

I want to write more, but my words refuse to come. They're gone.

Bond

Bond was abroad, and though Q tended to stay in his ear 24/7, he did, eventually, need sleep. He'd dragged himself home, curled up on the bed between the cats, and let sleep take him. It was a lack of noise that woke him though- He always slept with the news on when Bond was away, and the seemingly sudden silence had been jarring.

The flat was pitch black, and the cats- Where were the cats? Blindly, he made his way to the window- Where was the window?

His eyes began to adjust to the dark, and while that was definitely his and Bond's bed, this was not their flat. ...It was more like a cement box. There was a heavy metal door, and on the ground he could see what looked like a man's body. Stepping closer, he could see he was dressed in a full suit and that his hands were bound. It started to move, as though waking from an unexpected nap, and as it sat up Q could see just enough in the dark to know it was no threat.

"Oh my god, Bond," the young quartermaster gasped.
